My recent work evolves from a closer awareness of my formative years: the significance of environment, education and early visual experience. Influential are the fragments of remembered stories passed on about ancestors in times of extreme poverty and restless uncertainty. Anecdotes particularly involving my Grandfather's family from Slaney Street, Enniscorthy, Ireland.
